Snow-capped St. Moritz

St. Moritz, Switzerland

Snow-capped St. Moritz

This striking, minimalistic chalet is situated at the mountainside edge of a lake in the heart of the village of St. Moritz.  The white façade and wooden details of this contemporary building camouflage brilliantly into the snowy Swiss Alps landscape.

Treated on four levels, this chalet reveals a harmonious blend of wood from regional forests.  Local Grey Oaks and Spruce eroded by snow and brushed blond marry with immaculate marbles to assert a contemporary and authentic spirit.

Typical elements of the Liaigre vocabulary are very present here; the architectural staircase and its metal patina railings provide a distinct and grounding sense of structure to the space, contemporary furniture, leathers in warm shades of red and mustard as well as dark brushed woods juxtaposed by clean moments of white.

The chalet combines traditional aesthetics and pure lines characteristic of the Liaigre House, prioritizing a world conducive to rest and wellbeing.
