Masterpiece in Munich

A reminiscence of the great villas and mansions that were commissioned at the beginning of the 20th century in Europe by industrial tycoons looking for a very refined and custom-made lifestyle, this project was conceived both in its interior architecture and its furniture design for an exceptional German family seeking for a completely unique place to live in, matching perfectly their tastes and lifestyle.

Sharp lines and structures contrasting with sensual materials give the rythm of this masterful creation.

Realized in partnership with young Dutch architects Powerhouse Company, this precious and radical project revisits in a very contemporary way the culture of Southern Germany, leaning on dark tones influenced by the owner’s attachment to the Bavarian nature.

Habitable surface of 2400 square meters, on four levels, the house reveals throughout its different spaces an exclusive palette of materials : local ones such as the pine tree in tinted versions, and Liaigre-signature ones such as cedar and green onyx, now iconic.

Sharp lines and structures contrasting with sensual materials give the rythm of this masterful creation.

One of the special requests of the owner was to have not a single white-painted wall in the house ; the only white walls are in Nymphemburg porcelain in the bathrooms.

Two specific spaces : the bowling alley in the basement (a first for Liaigre), and the swimming pool unusually located on the second and last floor of the house.
