Alta gracia

In this townhouse located along the Compostela pilgrimage route, every detail has been designed to immerse visitors in the imperial atmosphere of an exquisite Spanish residence. By cultivating the perfect balance between tradition, modernity, and local culture, Liaigre has created a work of art full of contrasts and subtlety.

The selection of fine materials, which include Cordovan leather, Galician granite, solid wood, and touches of bronze, form a palette full of character in which deep reds and black dominate over accents of brown, gray, and beige that create a feeling of serenity upon entering.

By cultivating the perfect balance between tradition, modernity, and local culture, Liaigre has created a work of art full of contrasts and subtlety.

Designed as space where a Spanish noble could live and relax, the layout is centered around the kitchen, which is built on a former patio and forms the beating heart of the home. Every detail has been crafted with temperature in mind, to keep rooms cool during the hottest hours of the day, when the sunshine can be quite intense. The dining room/library is lit by great black-and-white crystal chandeliers, and interior wood panels keep the room cool. The long hallway is punctuated with large bronze and glass lanterns, while the ceiling is covered with wooden planks painted red like a matadors cape. On the lower level, the pool is a haven of tranquility featuring soft lighting and tones of emerald green water.
