Suspension and sconce Malaquais
Imagined for a parisian residential project, this beautiful sconce reinvents the refinement of 18th-century French style. Yet this historical inspiration, so deeply rooted in the House’s aesthetic vocabulary, is only a starting point: the idea of the wall light glimpsed in Versailles’ corridors is reinterpreted as a contemporary sconce, its design simplified to the point of pure essence. With its curved, supple and minimalist lines, the sconce is enhanced by the surface and tones of the bronze: textured nickel-plated inside, smooth with a black patina outside. When lit, the Malaquais sconce is adorned with golden reflections that diffuse a soft, warm glow; when turned off, it reveals its sculptural form and the radicality of its design.
